China News Service, Shanghai (Reporter Zheng Yingying), September 25 – The high-profile energy storage industry event, the "SNEC ES+ 9th (2024) International Energy Storage and Battery Technology & Equipment (Shanghai) Conference and Exhibition," kicked off in Shanghai on the 24th, held concurrently with the "SNEC H2+ 7th (2024) International Hydrogen Energy & Fuel Cell Technology, Equipment, and Application (Shanghai) Conference and Exhibition."

The SNEC ES+ 2024 event was jointly organized by the Global Green Energy Council, the Asia-Pacific New Energy Industry Association, the China Electric Power Construction Enterprise Association, the Chinese Renewable Energy Society, the Shanghai Federation of Industrial Economics, the Shanghai Science and Technology Exchange Center, the Shanghai New Energy Industry Association, and the SNEC Energy Storage, Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Industry Alliance.

During the conference, the "Energy Storage Technology and Equipment Professional Committee" under the Shanghai New Energy Industry Association was officially inaugurated. Shanghai boasts significant advantages in R&D and innovation resources in the field of new energy storage. The establishment of this committee aims to drive technological innovation, enhance R&D breakthroughs, facilitate standard-setting, promote project implementation, expand product applications and market expansion, build industry exchange platforms, foster international collaboration, cultivate talent, and provide policy recommendations and decision-making support.

Additionally, the "Global New Energy Empowerment Center (Preparatory)" was unveiled, with the goal of serving as a dual bridgehead for new energy enterprises to 'attract inward investment' and 'expand globally,' as well as a hub for leading domestic and international new energy companies.

Furthermore, the Minhang District Investment Promotion Center of Shanghai signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Shanghai New Energy Industry Association, while the China Electric Power Construction Enterprise Association and GCL Group also inked a strategic partnership agreement.

To advance the technological progress and market application of new energy products, the China Electric Power Construction Enterprise Association and the Shanghai New Energy Industry Association jointly initiated the compilation of the "Power Construction New Energy Product Promotion Catalog" and released the "Notice on Launching the Compilation of the 'Power Construction New Energy Product Promotion Catalog'" during the event.

The "SNEC ES+ 2024 International Energy Storage Exhibition" brought together leading domestic and international energy storage technology and equipment brands, working in synergy with the "SNEC H2+ 2024 International Hydrogen Energy Exhibition" to promote two industrial and value chains: "Generation, Grid, Load, Storage, Digital, Carbon" and "Solar, Storage, Charging, Hydrogen, Ammonia, Alcohol."
